About me

Violin maker, sound adjustments, researcher & teacher. Contributor to The Strad magazine.

Graduate of The Violin Making School of America, Salt Lake City, USA, under Peter Paul Prier. Luthiers and shops I have worked with includes Samuel Zygmuntowicz and Reuning & Son violins.

    What I do

  • New making. Instruments are made to the highest standards, according to the principles of the classical Italian makers. As with cooking the creation of a great master instrument is not a matter of luck. With top materials and understanding of the work methods of the great Italian masters, new masterpieces come into being.

  • Research into the working methods of the great classical Italian makers. A proud contributor to The Strad magazine I have written a number of articles. You will find them in the 'Articles' section.

  • Sound adjustments. A specialty. Many instruments can be improved with small changes in the setup. Before doing anything to the instrument, I discuss with the owner to get a complete understanding of their wants. Based on more than thirty years of working experience, I can often suggest improvements.

  • From time to time I help clients to buy and sell their fine violins, violas, cellos and bows.
